This book was a slow burn for me, but in the end I enjoyed it. The relationship between the two main characters is so complex, which I feel is accurate to some friendships, but isn't always shown in literature. I enjoyed seeing how each woman is coming into their own, in their early adult years.

Wow, wow, wow. I thought the first book in the series was just fine. This second book was AMAZING. Now I can’t wait to see what happens next. This one worked so well for me. It was full of drama, new allegiances, and THE SCANDALS! Thinking back, the first book definitely set the scene for this one so that this one could really explode. I’m looking forward to reading the next one now and see how the wonderfully complex friendship continues.
