Typically, I listen to audiobooks at night because they tend to put me right to sleep. Not this one. Actually had to turn it off and switch to something else because I got really interested in the story. Loved the speculative fiction elements, and enjoyed that there was some world building but not too much. Enough to keep you following the story and make the premise interesting, but not over the top. Zachary Quinto was a great narrator. Actually put some podcasts on hold so I could finish this on my way in to work, which is saying something. Also, it was short (2 hours and change) which was great. Sometimes when I'm listening to epic audiobooks, I can't hold all the plot points and characters in my head at once. This one was simple enough to follow but still interesting.

3.5 stars for a great reading by Zachary Quinto of a novella-length book with an intriguing concept but that fails to fully deliver on its promise.

Scalzi sometimes irritates me, but he sure does think up fun premises, and this one is too short to ever become tiring.

I alway enjoy listening to an actor as narrator. Zachary Quinto elevated this short story and had me entralled throughout.

¡Muy buena lectura!

El hilo de la historia es un poco predecible, pero la trama general, el personaje principal y la fluidez con la que se desarrollan los hechos, unido a la pluma del autor, logran captar tu atención de principio a fin.
