Good for an hour and a half of mindless reading, but overall a very forgettable book. Anyone with brains (though apparently not the heroine or any other reporters, publicists etc did even though it'd have been the biggest scoop of the year) could see it coming from a mile away. Nothing unique about the characters, though the situation had so much more potential. Was hoping for something better...

I found almost every character in this book annoying and on top of that every character was so self absorbed. Emma spent an ungodly amount of time wallowing in self pity or pining for a fiancé that treated her like utter garbage. I liked the plot about her job, but found it absolutely astounding that she never stood up for herself when it came to calling out men on their bullshit. I was entertained by the plot, but found myself getting more and more annoyed with almost every character besides Poppy.

A fun, getting over the rotten ex-boyfriend, story that will make you feel like you've been on vacation in France.

"It is perfection. And in perfection, there is seduction. Because maybe if you stay long enough in a city that's so perfect, you'll find perfection in your own life, too."
I can't get over how much I love Kristin Harmel. While her older books are very different from the heartbreak and tears I experience while reading her newer books, they all give me feels!
I loved the story of an American girl in Paris. While I personally don't have a desire to visit Paris one day, Harmel painted a beautiful picture of all that the city has to offer, and as a reader, you can feel the love.
This was a fun read for sure.

I thought that the book was horribly written. I couldn't bother with finishing it.

I loved this book! Emma was such a great character. She was strong and never gave up. I wish I had the courage to move to another country where I didn't speak the language and make it work! Kudos to her and to Harmel for writing such a good book!
