Very interesting storyline, especially with all the additional things that weren't in the movie. The plottwist at the end is way more surprising in the book and was delivered pretty good. I feel like there is still missing an emotional depth and connection of the characters, especially since they are 14 and are experiencing extremely traumatic events. I really liked the scene of Voldemorts return and Harry's escape, even though everything about Cedrics death was shallow as well.

My. Absolute. Favorite. Book. In. The. Series.

I am genuinely never prepared for this book when I get to it in the series, and I stand by that after reading it again this time.

This book is so good and so much fun but an emotional rollercoaster to read. I love all of the developments that we get with the characters, seeing Hermione stand for House Elf Rights with SPEW (I still cannot believe they left that part out of the movie), and then the entire Triwizard Tournament.

I genuinely think that the book is sO much better than the movie, it makes me sad how many details and entire CHARACTERS that we do not see in the movie. It is mind blowing to me that Winky is completely cut out, as she is genuinely such a fundamental part of the plot and conflict!

But anyways, putting aside my grievances of the differences between the book and the movie, I LOVE THIS BOOK. I love seeing Harry continue to grow and get stronger as both a person and a wizard. Then we see a huge moment for him and Ron when they go through those awkward weeks of anger towards each other, before Ron realizes he was acting absurd to Harry when his name is put into the Goblet of Fire. Then even Harry grows when he tells Ron he does not need to apologize to him for his poor behavior.

The entire climax of this book never fails to sHOCK and deSTROY ME. OUR BOY, CEDRIC. *cries hysterically* I will never ever get over his death. It is genuinely the turning point in the series โ€” it only gets darker and darker from that moment on. It is incredible to see the shift from this middle grade fantasy series to a genuinely intense, dark, & crazy fantasy series. These are no longer light and easy reads to get through after this book. It gets dark, it gets sad, & it gets tense. I am preparing myself to dive into the rest of the series.

In the end, this book will forever be my favorite one of them all because it is honestly the most monumental installment in the series. So much happens, we learn even more about all of these characters, fall even deeper in love with them, & only root for them even more when all hell breaks loose. I rate this book 5/5 stars! ๐ŸŒŸ

We continue into the world of witches and wizards.
The themes grow-up with Harry and Co. but reveals the darker underbelly of the authors world view. Hermoine becomes a annoying activist against a real injustice, all problems are explained with Voldemort did it, but not investigated if there are rooted in deeper problems (yeah 2 dark wizards in such short time, but everything is alright in the wizarding world) , a blunt and boring critique against journalism (lazy at best) and a side note om injustices in the fight against injustices....
And no word against the prejudice against muggle or werewolf or giants.....
And don't start thinking about the slavery-issues.....

Besides that, it's written well and as always it builds-up, really good mystery, clues and conclusion.

Goblet of Fire was the longest book Iโ€™ve ever read and it was worth it. A lot of stuff happened and most of them broke me, especially the passing of Cedric Diggory. RIP, my guy. Reading this book made me realize that I canโ€™t just trust what my eyes see, I have to think well and use my gut, especially when things go crazy. This book may be fiction, but it sure taught me life lessons about friends, families, colleagues, and the other side. I adore Harry, Hermoine, and Ron. They are brave kids, especially Harry. I also learned about not judging other people so easily just by how they look like what people around Hagrid, Snape, and Moody did. This is my first time reading this book and I enjoyed it. Oh, my heart broke for Dobby, Winky, and all the unpaid house elves like what Hermoine was fighting for with S. P. E. W., it made me sad that humans thought that house elves were below them. Good thing, Doby stood up for his rights. This was highly entertaining! I love how it was written. Plus Jim Dale did an excellent job narrating the audiobook companion. No wonder this series was now considered one of the classics. Well-deserved! This might only look like magic and wizards, but this was also about the people. Thank you, Ms. Rowling, ๐Ÿ’•
