I was intrigued by this small press called Red Hen. It had a couple of poetry titles that looked interesting; one of them was Glacier Lily. To me, the collection is fairly uneven, with some amazing standout poems, particularly the ones with investigate the unequal power dynamics experienced by a Korean/American woman. At the same time, some of the poems didn't seem to carry as much weight and heft to them. I found myself reading too quickly through because of it. The tone is generally more autobiographical.
