The illustrations in this book/series are adorable. The storyline is quite good as well. But honestly, it was just too long. Every time I turned the page, I thought to myself "seriously, another color wrote another letter..." -- perhaps it'd be best not to read them at bedtime... But it was just too wordy; redundant... Cute, but not my favorite. And I really wanted to love them.

I actually read this in Powells a few months ago, but forgot to list it... saw it again in Target yesterday and skimmed it. Neat premise, and adorable photo illustrations.

The students love it. The reoccurring characters are clever. I think it relies a bit too heavily on easy puke/poop humor though.

Picasso said every child is an artist, but i dunno, i don't think he met your brother.
- Big Chunky Toddler Crayon

This was unexpected fun, i was looking at the winning list of 2015 for goodreads awards, and removing everything from my to read shelf, as i decided i don't want to read any novel just because it won this award anymore, and i reach the color books, and i see this, something told me let's read this.
I am glad i did, i was laughing since the beginning of the book.
Its not a big book so i will not spoil it, basically lost crayons are sending post cards to the kid who owns them, and they are super funny with different personalities and stories to tell!

I liked this one better than the first one. It was humorous and a fun read aloud.

Another cute picture book starring the crayons of a boy named Duncan. This time around the crayons send Duncan postcards explaining where they've been and why. Some ask for help getting back to Duncan's bedroom, some are trying to make the journey on their own, and are updating Duncan as to their progress. The artwork of the crayons is funny and perfectly matches their corresponding postcards. Lots to enjoy here!
