Now I know why I never made it past #3 in the series. They’re quick listens but incredibly formulaic and repetitive.

This book made me realize why I thought it was normal that my first boyfriend and I broke up so many times and got back together.

It's been maybe a couple of years since I've the series and yet, it left me wanting more. Nevertheless, some of Raven's language made me cringe but in my opinion, the interesting plot made up for that and left me curious to where the author will take the storyline.

Raven's disbelief that she couldn't believe she has a vampire boyfriend, annoyed me. Like i get it, its been your life long dream to be a vampire nevertheless a vampire boyfriend but shut up already. This is the fourth book in the series and I was expecting her to believe the reality of Alexander being a vampire. In my opinion, all of this "omg i cant believe he's a vampire" crap should of be said in the first and maybe the second book.

Also, all of the cheesy lines in the book made me laugh. It makes sense why it seems all cheesy because it's a YA novel but I just wish the author had a bit more of creativity in the language and dialogue so that it doesn't seem that way.

This book certainly did keep the momentum of the series, leaving the reader curious to what will happen next.

Alexander and Raven have a new problem in town Luna and Jagger's younger brother Valentine and he quickly becomes best friends with Raven's younger brother Billy. Billy's friend Henry welcomes Valentine at first but then starts to be put off by his odd behavior. Valentine is looking for his older siblings since they were supposed to return to Romania but they are no where to be found. Valentine tries to plant seeds of doubt into Raven and Alexander's heads for the relationship. It almost works Raven wants to be turned into a vampire but at the same time is slightly scared, Alexander wants Raven to stay human and to protect her for the dangers of his world.

This book is geared toward tweens, not even teens. The dialogue is pretty simple with no subtlety. The story is kind of interesting and the relationship between Raven and Alexander is a little deeper in this story. I feel bad giving it two stars because it probably is just right for the audience it is intended. I had read the first three books a few months ago and forgot why I didn't want to pursue the rest of them. In a few months, I will probably forget again or want something I can finish in a day.

Raven and Alexander are loving being together and spending as much time together as possible. When the unthinkable happens - another Vampire comes to town. This vampire however is a pre-teen vampire with a vengeance in mind. In the first 3 books we were introduced to the unique twin sibling vampires Jagger and Luna! Amazingly good looking vampires with a knock on their shoulder. After they left town the supposedly headed back to Romania and their little brother Valentine - this however was not the case and Valentine came looking for them. He thinks that Raven has done them in somehow and aims to seek revenge!
Throughout the book the theme is the same Alexander looking out for Raven. Raven breaking all the rules and meanwhile trying to avoid her arch enemy human Trevor Mitchell.

The ending kind of sucks but it defiantly left it open and ready to continue into the next book!

We are again introduced to themes of love, romance, adventure, revenge, sibling fights and friends.

Story still cute, easy and simple.
I'm just wondering how many books the Maxwell family will be starring in. So far, it's 3.
First we have Jagger, then Luna and now we're faced with baby brother vampire Valentine? Who's next, their dad?
I mean, they are basically a sucky version of the Mikaelsons.

Alexander and Raven, cute as always. But I thought it was less of the cuteness this time and more time apart. Alex is really starting to go protective overload and soon we'll probably have an Edward on our hands again.

Actually, the whole serie is like a skeletal copy of twilight. Outsider girl meets lonely, soulful and self loathing vampire. Wants to turn into a vampire themselves but the male is against it since humanity is a precious thing not to give up lightly.
In the end they both realise that living as a human has its perks, like family and friends, eating certain foods (this case garlic infested, in twilight, anything not blood related) and in the end they will most probably turn vampire.
OR, Raven will like being human and decide to marry Trevor. Lmao. That would be hilarious!
Shipping it.

SpoilerI'm still annoyed over the fact that no one discussed how giving birth to vampires work. WHY NOT? Why does NO ONE think about how vampires are SUPPOSED to live forever, yet Alexander's grandmother is dead and so is the Maxwell's aunt Maria reached 98 years, there is no mention of any other older relative and his parents gave BIRTH to him, so vampires can have babies and these babies AGE? When do they STOP ageing? IF THIS IS REAL THEN ETERNITY IS JUST A HUAX.
