I LOVE retellings of classic books, and this was a good one. It had just the right amount of “romance” and a more in depth exploration of the wonderland world. I love that Alice had a mind that was in a way ahead of her time, and wasn’t afraid to have different opinions.
Moderate: Hate crime, Misogyny, Blood, War, and Injury/Injury detail

Likable characters and a more plot focused book.
I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. It was really good, and more adult like (in a sense of gore and heavy themes) than I originally anticipated, but I really liked it.
Each character brought something different to the story and it was a great use of character.
The epilogue was a nice touch and very Wonderland-like because of the randomness.

A fun, but dark, read. I’ve loved Alice in Wonderland since I was little and this was the fun, but more challenging, version I didn’t know I wanted. Flipping back and forth between worlds, meeting Mr. Katz, and seeing the parallels between Wonderland and Angleland was fantastic. Solid pacing, too. It kept moving along without feeling like a runaway train.
Moderate: Death and Blood
