Fantastic! Loved Mantel’s writing. This one reads like a tense plot compared to the Wolf Hall. Now on to the next one in series.

A very slow read, and definitely no surprises if you know the period, but Simon Vance is an exceptional reader.

In this one things kick off and get a little more interesting. Though I doubt I'll ever get around to reading the 3rd book.

I enjoyed the overall story, but the author's writing style made it very difficult to follow.

I really enjoy these on audio because it's basically just lots of chats and then people get beheaded. The writing is brilliant and deeply engaging, but you never feel over your head or as if you should know more history than you do.
