I love the audiobooks for the Dalton Family series. They're cute, light, and the British narration is a must. I didn't like this one as much as the first. To me, it wrapped sooo late. As in the 99% of the book. The inner conflict of Oliver wasn't explored as much as it should have been in order to make me understand and sympathize with his reasoning for not going after Elizabeth. I highly recommend reading the books in order to get some of the context for this book. Not imperative but just recommended.

It was kinda like a Hallmark movie. Will they, won't they keep denying their feelings for each other and the minute they admit it; it ends. To me I want more. I typically like Sarah Adams books as they are a cute and quick read but this one was a bit lacking for me.

This was cute. Not a huge fan of friends-to-lovers because it can easily get either boring or annoying, and this did get a bit annoying by the end. But I still enjoyed it.

I think this is maybe not the trope for me. I don’t mind a little feeling unworthy of the other but it was so silly, especially after they discovered the others feelings…
