I think if I read this book in middle school, I would’ve enjoyed it more. It probably would’ve been one of those books that shaped my thinking and view of the world. But I read it as an adult, a more liberal adult. So I would rate this as an engaging dystopian thriller, but not necessarily a book aimed for me (which isn’t a bad thing, I just don’t think I’ll continue with the rest of this trilogy).
