**Spoiler Warning** - yeah, it's because it's a sequel. Wanna fight about it?

Rachel did it. She found the Sefer, the potential source of cracking angel code. That was the easy bit, now she's got to hang on to it. Having badass assassin (badassin?) Knight around to keep the wolves at bay certainly helps. But now her ex, Mac is heading to Gehenna to track her down, with his fellow Sentinels helping out. The scary Redeemers are also in the hunt, and with the net tightening, it's getting harder for Rachel and Knight to keep ahead of their foes. But, as the stakes have risen, so too have the big prizes, and Rachel is on the verge of finding something even more important than the Sefer.

The author(s) have kept up the pace and interest in the second in the series. We find out some backstory from the various characters, we meets some new villains, and there's the old "will they, won't they" romance going on. I really like the little "blurbs" at the start of each chapter, which have progressed from Rachel's perceived heretical statements, to describing the tech available, and the different factions.

So, lots of action, great worldbuilding and interesting plot and characters makes for a great space opera.

Another 4/5 stars.
