Virginia Woolf's last novel, it is cleverly done. Unique in tone as her other novels, Woolf remain, for me at least, an innovator of the English novel.

A book of Virginia Woolf’s I hadn’t heard of until I came across an old Penguin 50s copy of it in a vintage bookshop - I loved this book. Her writing is always angelic, but the slow, beautiful prose of this book was a beautiful read.

I think it could have been a lot better if she had the opportunity to edit it, still a great story and beautifully written :)
