So we have recently transformed Tyree, finding his way with his new male body and much maligned Grace, who has had a traumatic imprisonment with Shadow in the previous book. Grace's musical skills gain her worldwide acclaim and she is forced to perform to a huge audience on a planet so that the crew can earn some cash. Things go wrong when her and Tyree become stranded on the planet with the evil empire.

This was an ok read; my least favourite of the series though. Why? Well I think I just had a different storyline in my head. Grace was a bit of a wet rag. She has had a horrid time up until now and constantly battles with the idea of being tied to a man. Her inner dialogue goes on throughout the book until she suddenly sees the light in one paragraph.

Tyree was a bit weird too. He goes from being a 3ft elf-like hemaphrodite to suddenly being a hot dude with constant hard on. I just couldn't quite marry the two characters.

Initially, I liked the idea that Grace and Tyree had been friends who hung out having sleepovers and watching films before he changed. I kind of expected that to continue. I thought the combination of Tyree not knowing anyhing about his new body but being curious to explore new sensations with Grace's aversion to anything sexual, but her intrigue over Tyree's new form and need to aid him in his education would be the perfect breeding ground for some playful scenes building up to the action.

Nope, that didn't happen. I just needed more of a transition to help me acclimatise to the new Tyree. The story was all kinds of nice and sweet. Grace is quite chaste and Tyree is very honorable, but it didn't have the heat level I was looking for.

That said, I am still enjoying the series.
