All she wanted was to be an agent.

The Gentlemen's Rogues Division was a secret arm of the government that did secret jobs. Saffron Abbot was the heir to the division and she was dying to become an agent to avenge the death of her parents. She trained her whole life, but her brother Gabe, who was in charge of the division, was in her way. He wanted to protect her from harm because she was the heir. Not only was Gabe in her way but the division's rules against fraternization with other agents stood in her way with an open relationship with a man who was the legacy of King Media empire.

Lachlan King was bagged and tagged by his family and forced to train at Rogues. His life before was that of a billionaire playboy. His grandfather felt he needed to become a man with the Rogues training as an agent. His brother Charlie died before he could finish his training, now he was tagged to take his place. Both Lock and Saff had to keep their attraction on the down low and were struggling with how they were going to maintain their relationship especially while on missions. Lock got to the point where he was determined not to give up on Saff and neither was she going to give up Lock.

I liked the suspense and action in this story. It kept me interested from beginning to end. Lock went from a playboy to a determined man to get and keep the love of his life. Saff was battling with the over-protection of her brother and wanting to be a full-fledged agent and keep the love of her life.

first book I have read by this author and I am impressed

First off I love a story with a female lead that can fight and is not a damsel in distress ! I loved she was NOT the typical “I’m not good enough for him” woman and that she knew she was a badass and a good catch and loved reminding everyone of that . Her issues were wanting the people close to her to believe in her and truly see her which was understandable especially since she worked hard to be the best .

I love when a author can create and alpha female without taking away from the alpha male . Although Saph can put Lock on his ass , that didn’t take away from his role as the dominate male in there relationship . Which is very hard for most authors to accomplish which is probably why they don’t write stories like this .

I loved Lock character and Staph best friend ! This story had as much action as it did romance. Although being a long book it did tend to repeat statements / thoughts but not enough for me to want to skim through it .

I will read others books and hope the h characters are similar and I hope Saint love interest is just as fierce as Staph !

It wasn't exceptional and I'd probably forget the stort after a while but it was a good enough read. There's action and a bit of drama and the pacing was okay. The sex is hot especially with the no-fraternization thing, so it's got a forbidden love aspect as well. The characters sounded young but I don't hate that because they ARE young.
