Christ. I’m on a bit of a roll picking a handful of awful audiobooks. This is slow, repetitive, and trite, aside from being sexist and body-gory for fun (I guess??) rather than any plot or structural reasons. I thought it was kind of run-of-the-mill bad for most of the book and then the ending was so cutesy and pasted on - like putting rom-com lipstick on a garbage-book pig. Truly not good.

Holy cow! You may think you have it figured out but at most you are only fractionally correct. This book had me guessing the whole time, including questioning what was real. Sager has done it again and kept the twists coming. I loved the ending and felt it tied up the story perfectly.

Overall:  loved the set-up of the chapters, good descriptions

Truly couldn't stand the first half of the book. The main character ignored all of the red flags, and then, when she found out certain information,

she would just confront the alleged serial killer directly

. I had to pause the audio book to scream way too many times (in frustration)

I was reeled back in by the second half though. Less 'screaming at the girl running up the stairs instead of out the front door' vibes. More plot

I found this book really hard to rate. The first 200 pages are too slow, but after the 200 mark it delivers. The final few pages actually make the whole book. I’m glad I stuck with it. I did find the style of writing and language somewhat stereotypical.

the fact there aren’t many characters makes it VERY easy to predict who the killer is. Josh was too obvious, so I immediately thought Robbie.

Overall an entertaining read.
