Started off very slow but picked up a bit. Decent book - nothing special.

The Sporty One: My Life as a Spice Girl sets the record straight. It's vulnerable and revealing and also horrifying with the paparazzi stories. I listened to this book shortly after reading the novel book The Unravelling of Cassidy Holmes, which featured a fictional band that was likely modelled on The Spice Girls.

The Spice Girls had their time when I was in University and more into alternative 90s, so I wasn't really in tune with them (pun intended). I also wasn't familiar with her solo work.
I enjoyed the audiobook and her story a lot, and it made me look up her solo albums. Her album Stages, a compilation of musical theatre covers, has one of my favourite musical theatre songs: I Know Him So Well from Chess.

Give it a listen.

I found this book so boring!!! So I'll admit, I missed numerous chapters and listened to the epilogue!
It wasn't what I was expecting, I wanted juicy Spice Girls gossip - which there wasn't much of, it felt like she was definitely holding back so as not to upset the others!
