Indifferent with this debut.  I didn’t like it nor did I dislike it.   I wanted to finish the book but at the same time it dragged and I wanted it to be over.   There were some gruesome scenes that weren’t necessary and prolonged animal death that I had to skip through.

I'll start by saying that the writing and writing style of this book is really damn good. It's simple, yet poetic. It's not much of a plot driven story, but rather a character driven one. You have to really enjoy contemporary fiction to appreciate this book. I say this because it's a bit slow and predictable at times, but the writing keeps you immersed in the story. The ending disappointed me and also confused me. However, after doing a quick google search of an old "movement" I wasn't familiar with, the ending made more sense, but was still disappointing. The book was honestly pretty good until the ending.
