Although this is the 1st book of the Magic People that I've read it was o.k. as a stand alone. I am an Honest ARC reviewer and can recommend this book to all ages,Nothing inappropriate within. The story line wasn't hard to follow ( although If I had read the 2 books before in the series,it would have been a better read). the Darkness lives.
