The Rest is History is a fantastic book for anyone that is wanting to start reading about history, as it covers many different things from history in an accessible and light hearted way.

Introduces you to a lot of history topics that you can further delve into. It is in a very random order and some bits they try to be funny at the expense of the history. Weird amount of references to Boris Johnson and football. Probably works better as a podcast

Another book that you could easily drop in and out of but is also a nice easy read for one go despite the size of the book. Really funny and a great way to learn about history
