I’m new to the graphic novel scene AND I’m not a zombie type of gal. I couldn’t watch the Walking Dead because it stressed me out. This wasn’t too bad in terms of zombie stuff and was cute in a high school romance kind of way. Overall a fun and quick read that helped me out of a reading slump!

A graphic novel featuring zombies! Two students are thrown together during a science assignment and begin hanging out beyond the classroom. During their date, they hear the news of a fungus that turns people into zombies. Will they survive the invasion? Will they be reunited with their families?
Black and white illustrations share the story of Dicey and Jack. They are complete opposites. Dicey is a jock and Jack is an academic. Their relationship is humorous and interesting. It's enjoyable to watch their relationship grow. Beyond illustrations and relationships, you can enjoy action scenes and a touch of romance.

I haven't read this book or series since I was in high school. It was such a pleasure to revisit, and I enjoyed it so much more! I love the characters, they interact so naturally. They are funny and extremely relatable. Jack is adorable, has great hair, and nice fashion (most of the time). Dicey is charismatic, funny, relatable, and extremely determined and practical, which I love in any apocalyptic setting! Especially since she has a cute dress, but isn't scared of ripping it up if need be, amazing! Loved it! :)

Super cute but super short story about a jock girl and nerd boy who fall in love during the zombie apocalypse. A lot of details are cut due to the short number of pages but it’s cute for what it is.

Plot is as light as a typical horror movie but yet it's "cute" - I hate to say that word because that would normally make me avoid it, but I enjoyed this enough to try the next one.

I finished this book a few days ago and it was just o.k. The zombie thing seemed tacked on. I will not look for sequels.
