Kade

Alpha, possessive males. Vampires, werewolves, fetish clubs, what more could a girl ask for? Kym definitely delivers with Made in Immortals. Definitely a 5* read

Another free kindle book.

The protagonist was unrealistic, she was a total Mary Sue. She was so perfect at everything, except her job. She should just give up her detective career xD Every male in the story obviously wanted to get on with her, because that's just how life always is.
Syd and Kade fell in love pretty quickly, considering the time frame of the story. It wasn't even explained properly. It seemed that there might be some kind of magic involved, like mating in shifter stories, but it was actually never properly said or shown.

Once I finish all those 80 or so free kindle books I have left, I am probably never gonna download any more. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. Although to be fair, I did enjoy some of those books. It just is too rare to be worth it.

A new series. A good start means everything.....

Its a good job it had one!

A body washes up attracting both the police and also the P-Cap (basically the Paranormal cops). Sydney is our human police officer here. Kade is an uber powerful vamp who runs New Orleans, but requested this case as he believes it has something to do with someone in his city.

Sydney's feathers are truly ruffled by this gorgeous, hunky piece of Vamp which ruffles them even more as she doesn't WANT to feel this way to him, and goes out of her way to make sure he knows it.

when put together to solve the case Sydney feisty side is shown and makes you see her a tough take-no-crap kinda girl. i like her!

The bar EDEN caters to humans, weres and vamps alike. Its a haven for vamps to be able to feed without care, a place for humans to mix with the dark side....for Sydney its to meet and greet the bars owner Tristan, the Alpha of the Lyceum Wolves. He and Sydney have a needs to be together moments. Kade sees this interaction and it really winds him up....igniting the spark in him that he already had from dealing with Sydney....
Strangely enough before Sydney and Tristan can do anything, Kade has a lead on the case....hmmm!

The sparks fly, which are always fun to read, and you know its going to lead to some explosive passion scenes later on (not for young eyes!)..and again, make you wish that men like this existed - maybe not the vamp part but the whole strong, brave, protect, but yet soft, gentle and yielding.

As this case, and Sydney resides in Philadelphia....Kade lives in New Orleans, and being the head vamp there, he cant not go back.
Sydney comes back to New Orleans with Kade.....but when hes in the shower, she makes a successful run for it.....
Kade is NOT happy.

So...questions left....
Can Kade move to Philadelphia.....can he run his empire there? Or does Sydney concede to live in New Orleans...hmmm..after climbing and earning her position...its hard to see......somethings gotta give right? Wonder what...?

Great start to a series...roll on the next one......

I made it to chapter 13 of 23 before I couldn't take it anymore and stopped listening to it. I don't know how we're supposed to feel about the heroine Sydney. But I find her absolutely aggravating and annoying. It was a struggle just to make it as far as I did. It feels like this book is trying to win a world record for most unnecessary adjectives used in a book.

The dialogue in this novel is so stunted; the characters make declarative sentences without reacting/listening to each other.

I would re-title this to: How the self-absorbed cop and the boring vampire found love
