Perfectly quirky and delightful mystery of sorts. Like Wes Anderson's films? Read this book.

This was a big eh for me - I was super excited about the first bit and by the end, I was underwhelmed. Fun, but not as much fun as I wanted it to be.

Inspired by Glee. The Shining, and Agatha Christie, this mystery was filled with so many moving pieces, I wasn't sure if Racculia would be able to pull them all together. But she did it, and ended up writing a very different, very intriguing tale.

This book was so much more than I expected. It continually tricked me and I figured out nothing on my own. Mystery, romance, humor - It had it all. It was a great story and I highly recommend it.

Although initially intrigued by the premise and first chapter of this book, it became a struggle to finish it.
The excessive pop culture references became too much and highlighted to me the lack of cohesion in the story. It was as if Glee met a Wes Anderson movie. And since I don’t care of either of those things, I did not care for the characters in this mess of a book. I was not impressed.

Some parts were 3, some parts were 4, but rounding up because it was overall very charming.
I don’t think I liked it as much as Tuesday Mooney in the end. In the beginning, I thought I was going to like it better. But the ending just seemed a little convoluted, and there were so many good characters ... but so many that you didn’t get to know any of them as well as you wanted. Very much worth the read, though. I think I’ve read everything she’s written now, and will definitely be on the lookout for more.

I loved Tuesday Mooney so, of course, I had to read Racculia’s other books. I didn’t expect to love this as much as Tuesday Mooney, but I almost did.
