The fact that I finished this book means it kept my interest until the end…and then I was completely let down and feel meh about the story as a whole.
I wanted more groveling I think by both MCs.
I get needing to wrap up a story, but when we have so many movies doing that it begins to feel lacking of substance.
This is NOT to say that I will not read anything else by Adams, nor is this comment/review meant to imply anything other than that I am intrigued enough to continue checking out the author’s works!!

I really enjoyed the prospect (excuse the pun) of the story, but I found the characters a tad unlikeable and the story to be a bit too longwinded and mopey.

A lot of the YA angst was really irritating, and unfortunately the romance wasn't as 'swoon worthy' as everyone said it was.

My only complaint was that I wish this was longer! The middle chunk could have used more instead of rushing the timeline of the summer months.

Loved it!

Generally a sweet story. I didn’t like the beginning, and because it was a novella the relationship felt really fast. That being said, the emotion in this book was very real and I felt it. I wish that it had been longer so that we could explore the very real emotional baggage that Bree has.

Trauma bonding and abandonment issues and insecure attachment styles are less sexy and romantic as they used to be. It makes it hard to enjoy romance novels. Argh.
