Re-reading these gems in preparation for my visit to Maud Hart Lovelace's home in Mankato. Can't wait. I almost forgot how wonderful these books are!

This was an enjoyable children's book. The adventures are sweet, and the little girls' childhood is very sweet. These books are very sweet, and I'll continue the series for sure.

i love these stories because they are just about the ordinary moments of childhood, when every activity was so absorbing. i wanted to make everything pudding when i was a kid. i still thought it sounded good even though it was clearly disgusting.

Was pretty meh for me, although that's probably because I am not the target audience.

Reread.

I originally read this back in 2014 and enjoyed the entire series. I wanted to revisit Hill Street and the adventures of Betsy, Tacy, and Tib. The stories are just an enjoyable as I remember them. I would for sure recommend this series for a read aloud with parents or a family read along.

Taking turns to read these aloud with Rozy is such a delight. Stories are lovely, and kids are all 9 going on 10. All are written with authenticity and charm so adults appreciate the stories and characters too.

This is such a charming series! Just ordinary kids doing ordinary things, but the stories are cute and the girls are wonderful. I like that they do average kid things and get into trouble and such. The Lois Lensky illustrations are also wonderful and add quite a bit to the charm of the book. I look forward to the next installment!
