Original. Christopher Nolan should buy the movie rights.

A gut wrenching but stunning read. I really enjoyed the poetic elements to the descriptions and the unique viewpoints that the author brought to life. The only thing stopping this from being a 5* read was that I often got lost in the timeline and that disrupted the read at times.

Some chapters were really gripping, whereas others seemed to miss the mark; still, a very good and haunting tale.

A brilliant, brutal and clever read. Without giving away spoilers, the way that this is written makes it a masterpiece of showing not telling, and it is just so powerful as a result. It made me cry several times and books don't usually make me cry.

Anatomy of a Soldier by Harry Parker Review.
An incredibly moving story! I was brought to tears throughout. The way in which the story is told is unusual, I have never read anything like it before - instead of been told from the characters point of view, the story is told from the points of views of different objects, related to a soldiers life and near death, a few examples, an IED, a snowflake and a bag of fertiliser. A very different way of story telling. I was drawn in from the very first page, due to how unique this book is. You might not think that you can be emotional attached to a person's story, when it is told through objects, but believe me you can. A truly unforgettable reading experience - make sure to have the tissues ready if you read this.
