This book was a phenomenal read.  The three storylines were expertly woven together, showing us women across centuries taking back their power. This book deals with some tough topics. Please read trigger warning before picking up this book as I neglected to do.

I really loved this book. It's dark and moody and vaguely mysterious, and the scene-setting is impeccable. I've always been intrigued by the Salem witch trials, and this retelling felt fresh and new and interesting. At its core, this is a story about men trying to control women and women breaking free of patriarchal expectations and realities. I rooted for Kate, Violet, and Altha, and I enjoyed each of their perspectives and didn't find myself itching to get back to one perspective (which I find rare in books with multiple timelines). I also deeply loved the depictions of nature and animals and attunement with the world.

Loved this book so much! The feeling of womanhood and love is enough to make you cry. It will be added to my bookshelf because I will want to read it over and over again.

Well-written, interesting tale of 3 generations of women in a family. Very hard to read at times due to trauma inflicted upon the characters. I wasn't sure I was going to be finish it. I've tried to add content warnings as I could remember them but top-level trigger warnings would be: domestic abuse, rape, miscarriage & abortion.

This book covers some very dark topics but as the threads of the different stories unravel it becomes powerful and optimistic. This book made me cry with pride at how the characters developed and discovered their true strengths.
