I liked this book and even related to the phrase 'black like me'. I just still like vulgarity. Not in a mean way... But in jest. Vulgarity and me go way back.

Incredible, powerful and inspiring read by Maya Angelou. The writing is absolutely beautiful. She tells us the life she lived and the lesson she learned in these short stories. Despite all her hardships, she managed to remain graceful and kind and now she gives us – her daughters – her wisdom. I loved everything about this book and I love this woman.

Just so lovely. This woman has seen so much and yet still holds so much love in her heart.
