I really love the descriptions of this frontier planet, and the dragon warriors bound to the little ones. However, I got so excited to see a disabled heroine as the star of this romance and her disability was written out of the story within the first few chapters. It felt like the only reason Sarah had a cane was to hide a sword in it (and sword canes are REALLY heavy and unwieldy to use in real life).

Zane and Sarah

This one took me a little while to get into. I liked the characters and could understand Sarah’s motivations right away, but it still took me time to get into the story. Zane was much more grounded than the previous males have been. He didn’t immediately jump into Sarah’s scheme but tried to tell her that it wouldn’t bring her the peace and joy she thought it would. In the end, Sarah did face the truth. Baby Bowen was a doll. I almost wish these stories came with pictures because I really want to see these chunky babies. All of them sound like little different colored cherubs.

Book 4 of the Alien Adoption series is an interesting read. The action takes place much like a western with Sarah determined to have her father’s murderer brought to justice. Despite the her son’s Invictas dragon guard insisting her quest is dangerous and ill advised, she is relentless to see justice.

Zane is immediately aware Sarah is his mate when he first sees her, and is dismayed and frustrated with her quest to find and kill her father’s murderer. He is protective of her and the baby, Bowen.

Each of the books in this series are easily read as standalone stories. I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed this story, which is the latest in the Alien Adoption Agency. Don't worry if you haven't read any of the others, it's completely standalone and everything you need to know is included in the story. This is a fun, not overly serious entry in the genre that will leave you feeling happy.

This book, although could be read as a stand alone, is a part of the series. I have noticed that with the series as a whole the books tie into each other however they do not rely on each other too much in terms of content with each other having their own story and their own timeline.

The reason why I have found I liked this series because although it is an easy read where you know that the two people will end up together but you never know how the story will end and each adventure keeps you on your toes.

In this particular story the male character has to chose between his job and the person he loves, while the person he loves has to chose between doing what is right for the rest of the people around her and doing what is right for her. The power dynamics in this book are interesting and it shows that even the best of people can have bad intentions.
