I picked this book up after seeing Amy Collins speak at a Writer's Digest Conference. She was one of the best speakers there, giving all kinds of practical advice on marketing a book. She gives all kinds of great advice in multiple formats for free, even though she runs a marketing business. She offers webinars periodically that are just as informative if you sign up to her mail list. This book is yet another of her offerings to authors who want to do marketing themselves, or enhance marketing they and publishers are always doing. This book focuses on building up an author platform with 19 different practical tips to do so, many of which are quite creative. It is concisely written and describes how to get started with each tip, so you there's no excuse not to do it.
