It is very entertaining and full of adventures. It does have some really dark passages, so I wouldn't recommend it for too young children.
It touches on subjects of self definition that attack us early on when we are teenagers.  It also shows a bit how our decisions have severe consequences sometimes, and hiw this consequences also affect the people around us, our families and friends especially, but not only, the ripples can be a lot bigger.
I am not sure if I will read the nezt installment,  it was a bit too young for me 😅

I really enjoyed this one! The author has created this world of magic that is very “My little Pony” and Harry Potter. The main characters basically follow the story of fairytales to find the witch to break their curse. I liked that snippets of the fairytales were included in the story to progress the adventure.

Was more of a middle grade read than YA. Felt like I was watching a kids movie that has no secondary storyline for the adults in the room. Highly recommend for middle school/late elementary readers!

This prose...
-a smile so sweet it dripped honey?
-worries thawing like a blast of sunlight melting a clump of dirty straw?
-the thought of the witch being a massive glacier, fear frozen solid?
-limbs so relaxed they're sticks of butter?
-hope bubbling up like water in a cauldron?
...why? These similes are overwrought.
