Didn’t enjoy the format as much, it read in a very disjointed manner. Funny, sure. The references were eclectic and I didn’t get a lot of them, but that’s obviously a limitation of my knowledge of history and literature.

I laughed out too loud! Awesome collection of comic strips - mostly on history, contemporary times, literature. Greattttt illustrations and the footnotes on the comics - are hilarious and so casual that it makes you have another round of laughter. Kate Beaton is awesome. I squawked at this - http://www.harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=298.

I'm giving it a 4.5/5 stars. It was very funny! And for some of the strips that I didn't get, a history lesson was afoot (a pun for the footnotes). Although it felt like I didn't know anything at all when it came to a lot of these historical and classical characters, it was still quite enjoyable. The illustration was pretty easy on the eyes.
