I really liked the concept of the pirates searching for all the letters in the alphabet, however I felt the rhyming was a bit clunky at times and the illustrations were occasionally confusing while reading along. I think Kindergarten or 1st grade kids would love this book, but my toddlers at story time might be a little lost.

The captain of a pirate ship wants to own more than the letter R. He sends his crew out on a letter finding expedition. My toddler loved finding the letters hidden in the illustrations and learning more pirate vocabulary. Pirates are a big hit at our house. I wouldn't mind reading this book more often.

A great alphabet book for toddler and preschool audiences. Pirates go on a hunt for each letter of the alphabet~ children can join in the hunt as well and search the pics for each letter. Most of the pirates are fairly quiet, only letting out a couple "R's!" here and there. :)

The concept is fun, but some of the letters are really hard to see and recognize. Rhyming text is a bit clunky at times, but the pictures are fun. Not the best alphabet book out there, but certainly not the worst, either. Pirate enthusiasts will appreciate it the most.

What a fun way to practice the alphabet! A pirate captain and his crew go on an adventure to find all the letters of the alphabet...where will they find the letter Z?

This was a great educational children's book! My nephew loved it and went through the entire alphabet totally engaged. Very cute way to teach the alphabet while still having fun.

This was a fun letter hunt adventure.  The rhymes were nice, the cadence fun, and the illustrations put it on top to be a book that could be read at storytime over and over again.

A jauntily rhyming book about pirates collecting all the letters of the alphabets. Would work well with preschooler storytime.
