A really interesting story and not at all what I was expecting out of a book about The Vision (I went in without any spoilers, so had no idea what it was about), although a couple of parts were a little trope-y, and the ending outcome was a little bit too easy to predict. The heart of the story itself, though, was fantastically told and the journey was one worth taking. The art was also perfect for a story of this nature, so kudos there as well. My only real complaint is that more than half the content in this volume is made up of bonus material and sketches and things, which, while I enjoy, felt a little long in the tooth a bit and made the edition seem more bloated than it is. It's always disappointing when you get to the end of a book when you're only half-way through.

Astounding. Truly.

Sick of the same, same, same? Redefining the genre and packed with real characters. Anything I say simply will not do the work justice. Read it. Read it and feel.

I really like King when he focuses on a character for 12 issues. This was almost as good as his Mr. Miracle.

I love a dark, tragic story, but for some reason this didn’t really do it for me. I feel like the story could have been more.
