There's a reason book 6 has the highest rating from me thus far.
THE NILA TURNED BADASS ARC IS INSAAAANE.
I didn't think I could like Nila, but this book was her turning point.
She fucked Dylan (Dyno, Dickens, whatever the hell his name was) UUUUUUP
*insert crowd cheering*
Then she went and did this, too??? With a broken arm???
"“You asked me when I came into this room what I saw when I looked at you. It’s my turn to ask you.” I held her wriggling form, breathing hard. “What do you see when you look at me?” Your killer? Your demise? Not letting her answer, I snarled, “I’ll tell you what you should see. You should see a girl who’s reached the end of her limit. A girl who won’t hesitate to kill. A girl who fully intends to survive this massacre and burn your legacy to the ground.” Her eyes shadowed with fear."
Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh I'm so proud of Nila jsksksnnzkskwkjsjj!!
Now that my Nila moment is done, the end was really sad and a tad difficult to read.
"And finally, his emotions switched from sadistic hatred, misplaced actions, and a lifetime of incorrect choices to begging and shaming and accepting everything in full measure."
While I don't feel sad for Cut, cause honestly, it didn't need to come to this point for you to realize how wrong and messed up you'd been all these years, but Jet being in that situation had to be a huge mental blow. I can't imagine the emotional burden to carry out the killing of your father by your own hands, regardless of what he's done.
To make it worse, my favorite Hawk died :(
But he'd always lived and thought for others, anyway, so this was a release for him. Still..... my favorite Hawk...
