Zweig me parece fantástico.

Great work of literature. I found the tone to be a little too over-the-top for my liking sometimes (it did somehow make sense for the subject matter though).

My personal top five stories:
5. The telephone cable between Europe and America
4. The South Pole expedition
3. Waterloo
2. The Marseillaise
1. Händel and his Messiah (I even teared up)

They were all cool to read though!

really a treasure. that’s why I’m a fan of Mr. SZ - the beauty of life and hope in humanity presented itself so vigorously in this series, I loved every bit of that.
one thing to add though: I mainly enjoy the writing style of SZ as it’s light yet so rich but I seemed to have some pacing problems by reading, sometimes it was not easy to pull through the text, wish the style was more energetic as in his other novels although I think it said more about me as an impatient reader and language speaker

Not really my kind of reading, but very well written by a fellow Austrian.
