Loved everything about this book! My only complaint is the miscommunication and the way Rhett acted after getting hurt and was at the hospital, there was no need for that

Okay I’m obsessed with everything about this family, this town, and Miss Elsie Silver. Am I now going to go and buy every single thing she’s ever written even without having read the entirety of this series? Absolutely.

This is one of the true definitions of a romantic comedy. Seriously you get a rugged bad boy cowboy and it’s all because he was shit talking MILK? I’m crying I’m still not over that. The ultimate small town, cowboy, cozy, close knit/found family story. I am going to absolutely devour the rest of this series. Call me a cowgirl cuz I’m ten seconds away from telling my boyfriend we’re gonna quit our lifestyle and go buy a ranch in Wyoming or Canada or maybe even just here in Oklahoma.

This just oozed cozy family love and I am always a sucker for those types of family units and story worlds. Thank you Elsie and take my money.

this was NOT an enemies to lovers romance. i have no idea why it’s marked as one, since it’s obviously a grumpy-sunshine romance.

the overall plot was questionable because why does a 30+ year old man need a babysitter? i personally think that was strange. are men that inept? i’m going to assume yes. though her becoming a babysitter led to us meeting some amazing side characters and my favorite scenes: the eaton family dinners.

summer and rhett were cute and the will-they-won’t-they dance they went through was so good to watch unfold. from the beginning their banter made me laughing so much and their chemistry was incredible, especially in the bedroom. their romance isn’t big and loud and dramatic, it’s cute and fluffy. though i do have to say that the third act breakup could’ve been avoided if! they! just! had! talked! they did overcome the shit that came their way with time and acknowledging their differences and shortcomings.

some things that occurred in the story pissed me the fuck off. her stepmother, half-sister, and predatory doctor/ex (who then became her brother-in-law!) deserved the worse but none of them faced any consequences for how horribly they treated summer.

i’m usually not a big stickler when it comes to writing but i couldn’t overlook some of the dialogue and how it did not flow like dialogue, which made it difficult to get through the characters’ conversations. but the rest of the writing was good.

all in all, despite there being nothing special about this book, it still intrigued me enough to read the next one because i grew found of the eaton brothers.

i think i now understand why people are downbad for cowboys… they’re hot. save a bull, ride a cowboy, indeed.

My summary:
Rhett Eaton is the rough and tumble face of professional bull riding. He finds himself in a PR scandal after a hot mic catches him talking shit about his biggest sponsor right before he punches a paparazzi in the face. Summer Hamilton recently finished law school and works for her father at Hamilton Elite, the talent agency firm that represents Rhett. Summer had a teenage crush on Rhett a decade ago. And now, she finds herself becoming Rhett’s babysitter for the next few months to keep him in line so more sponsors don’t drop him before the world championships. But it doesn’t take long for Rhett to find his match in Summer’s sassiness as the city girl and the cowboy fall for each other.

My thoughts:
If you’re looking for a sassy, swoony, and spicy romance then check out Flawless by Elsie Silver!

I’m not sure I’ve read a cowboy love story yet but I absolutely adore this one! I could not read this fast enough, and I also can’t wait to move onto the rest of the series. This is a perfect blend of a sweet and spicy love story and I just cannot get enough of Rhett and Summer. I read it really fast but I also never wanted it to end.

Who thought such a rough and tumble bull rider could be so swoony?! I love Rhett and that he’s really a softie under his hardass shell. I also love how strong Summer is and how she holds her own in every situation. I enjoyed the dynamic between Summer and her dad also.

The texts at the beginning of chapters are absolutely hilarious. The witty banter is great. I enjoy small town romances, even though the setting wasn’t a huge factor in the plot. I love the introduction to characters that I’m hoping will get their own book in the series.

This is a can’t-miss romance, especially since it’s on Kindle Unlimited too!

Hot damn! This book is just incredible. The only reason why I didn't put 5 stars it's because I liked Heartless more. Rhett Eaton! The man you are. This man is just *sigh**swoon*. I don't know how to explain it so I won't. He is just perfect. Summer, she is fierce, and so confident, and her growth is so good. I loved how we got to see how Summer was able to face her issues and be able to trust Rhett. Their relationship is also so good! I love the fact that they are able to support each other and it felt so natural and just right. They were meant to be and nobody can tell me otherwise. The fact that even though she was confident in herself she still struggled a lot and he was able to show her that she was worth of love and being freaking worshipped like the queen she is. The book is just so good and I don't know what else I can say. This book started my cowboy romance era.

Memorable Quotes
  •  “She and I really are binary stars, stuck in each other’s orbit, drawn together by forces we can’t see or understand—but that we can feel.”
  •  “What the hell is the cowboy hat rule? You wear the hat, you ride the cowboy.”
  •  “You were out there this whole time, and now I know you exist, and I can never go back. Wouldn’t want to if I could.”
  •  “Princess, you look like you were made for me."
"I feel like I was made for you.
  •  “Tell me what to do, Summer. Tell me, and I’ll do it. Was I unclear before? Because I want to be crystal clear now. I love you. I loved you the moment you walked into that boardroom and smirked at me like you knew something I didn’t. It bothered me, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Wanting to know what you know. I fixated on it, but I think I was just fixated on you.”
  •  “He is nothing like any man I’ve been with. And that’s a blessing.
