This series is interesting. Basically that Fiction Worlds are real places that can have effects on Earth, so the Genrenauts have to go in and fix things that go wrong in the World. It's a cool premise and though I find the characters lacking, I enjoy the stories well enough to continue reading them.

I'm enjoying this series as a genre romp, but this second novella had a little less glue holding it together than the first, and if there isn't some more character development/depth in the next one the rating is going to start trending down rather than up. There's so much potential here and I want to see the books live up to it.

A great second installment, continuing in the episodic vein, and revealing some interesting hints at an overarching story. Recommended for sure!

It was good, but the problem with novellas that rely on action is that they move too quickly sometimes. A big story is squeezed into a limited number of pages, and sometimes it works better than others. In this case, it just manages to work.

Damned good. This was an excellent adventure in the ongoing series. I loved seeing these characters again, in a new setting, and kicking ass. I also loved learning more about Roman. I did not expect that to be his backstory. I cannot wait for the third installment in this series.
And as always, Mary Robinette Kowal is a dream narrator.

I think I liked the first story better, this had a harder time of keeping my attention for any length of time. I think the problem was that our lead from the first story got much less and less interesting screen time. I am however getting the next one because I have been promised genre crossover.
