A good follow up to Book 1 in the series, though I probably waited too long after reading the first one. I only vaguely remembered the first book.
Moderate: Child abuse, Child death, Torture, Blood, and Murder

It's better then the first one. But still not great. The concept of time travel is too obscure for my liking. Things don't always coherently make sense. But it had a good ending and that makes me content.

Schade!

Beyond ridiculous. The plot was pathetic. Quite a comedown from the first book, sadly. No rating as I do not rate books I do not finish. But as cute as the first book in the series was, well this one was not.

Those who loved “Once a Witch” are gonna love “Always a Witch” even more!
This time, Tasmin travels in New York of the 19th century, all alone. And you know what is scarier? That she ends up working as a lady’s maid in the house of her family’s rivals. Ah! And another little detail- the previous maids have disappeared off the face of the earth!
So how can you not read this book breathless?
Once again, the writer manages to capture the reader’s interest immediately, while her descriptions are so vivid that you feel that you’ve visited those places. Even now, almost a month since I’ve read Always a witch, I have before my eyes the image of the Knight’s mansion.
In this book, Tasmin has really grown up, she no longer feels isolated from her family- on the contrary she risks everything to help her family. Gabriel, even if he is absent quite a long time, appears at the right time to save the day. Of course, the most interesting characters of the book are the Knights family members… despotic La Spider, charming but dangerous Liam Knight and their greedy relatives who scare us with their viciousness and their intelligence.
As for the end… it will leave you speechless!

Oh, this was absolutely lovely...
It's so refreshing to have a YA paranormal book that doesn't include a love triangle! Gabriel loves Tamsin, Tamsin loves Gabriel and there's NOBODY ELSE involved. Crazy, I know, but it actually happens!
Then, it's not a trilogy, it's not a tetralogy, it's not a never-ending-getting-worse-with-each-book series, there are only two books and it's really great this way (even though I will miss Tamsin, Gabriel and Agatha).
The story's very fast-paced, the characters are as pleasant (if not more) as in book one, and all in all, it makes for a very enjoyable read.
And, I just cannot keep quiet over this: have you seen how pretty this cover is?
