Eh.

This plot had a very generic fantasy structure, and I did enjoy the links to D&D. It wasn't really boring at any point, but it was fairly predictable. The characters were pretty much the same, not necessarily bad, but they sometimes felt like cardboard cut-out fantasy stereotypes.

My main problem was with the writing. It wasn't good.

I loved this story and I especially loved that its a story based on their d&d adventure.

Sturm was my favorite character because he was so different (serious) from the other characters. And he was stoically knightly.

Raistlin is my second favorite character because he seems to care about and want to be kind to those that are abused and mistreated in life. His moment with Bupu when he was releasing her from his enthrall was so kind and tender and sweet. But I also enjoyed how much of a dick he was to everyone else.

I loved the romance between Caramon and Tika (she bit him!) and also the wedding Goldmoon and Riverwind finally got to have. Their story was so sad.

My favorite part though was when they were battling on the pot that was being lowered into the caverns.

Can't wait to read more of these books!

it was a good fantasy book just not for me, wasn’t a fan of the writing style or the way the story played out i felt like nothing happened at all but it was told as if they had done these amazingly big things
