Okay, I must say I adored this story!! The setting was a stroke of genius and the story-telling was thoughtful, emotional and extremely engaging. With the story's main plot point being a woman's shelter - the story was very real, and really grabbed you.
Jax, then hero - was such a qorgeous man - inside and out. I know we all love our alpha males, which he was - he just had to have a much softer approach than most. I really fell in love with Ella - she had such contrast - so fragile and at the same time such a inner strength, that you couldn't help but want to see her free from her past and happy. Really looking forwad to the other two (that I know of) in this series!!
I am also lucky enough to be getting this series in paperback, and having them signed, in person, by Kirsty at Indie Authors Down Under event at Gold Coast in March 2014!! Can't wait to tell her in person, just how delightful I have found this book!!

This is not a book for the faint hearted. It has adult themes, strong language, and graphic scenes within it. It also features abuse.

Ella is a very brave, strong young woman who has RN away from her previous life to save her own. She is constantly running, trying to stay one step ahead of those trying to find her.

One might she finds herself outside a shelter for women, and allows a man, Jaxon, to talk her into staying for the night. This is the start of a life changing time for Ella. She finds herself a job, a place to stay, and someone she likes.

But by letting him into her heart she is opening herself up to everything she desperately wants to avoid.

Can Jax truly save Ella, or will his actions lead to something she has dreaded for years?

This is a good read which held my attention so much I read it in one sitting.

awesome. Ella's bravely was amazing. I felt so bad for her and the love story was like fate brought her and Jax together and it wasnt at all cheesy or unrealistic. The one thing I didn't get or wished they could have given more story to why what did she do from the time she ran away till the time she found her way to the shelter. It just skipped 4 years. But anyway. I loved this book. Read it in one sitting. Im happy with how the story was slow paced but still kept my interest. Their relationship was not rushed and I think that was what made their story awesome. Definetly will read more to this series. Cant wait to read about Rebecca.

This book caught me by surprise. I got so much more than I expected based on thy blurb. This I a simply beautiful story about surviving and learning to leave the painful and traumatic past behind yourself, to live your life without regrets,  let yourself be loved and most importantly to love yourself.
Ella is a pure, wonderful, complex character who is a fighter and a survivor. She is determined to get the better out of her opportunities and her rather hard situation. She just doesn’t give up, she is incredibly persistent which she really needs in her life but this quality makes her beautiful and strong inside and out. My only problem with her was that her first instinct, first reaction for everything was to run.
The other main character Jax is also phenomenal. After several tours in overseas and risking his life for his country and after leaving the army he still spends his life protecting people just in a different kind of way. He helps to the ones he can and in this case it means the woman and children in his mother’s shelter. His widespread compassion is really impressive. Especially his behavior toward Ella from the moment they met, he looks at the girl like she hung the moon. However he makes a couple of really stupid decision which shows his inexperience in long time relationships.
There are a lot of interesting supportive characters, too and I really curious about their stories also.
The author’s exceptional writing style leads through the plot unhindered and expertly weaves into a couple of funny element into the story-line here and there which helps to break up the seriousness of the book a little before it becomes too much. And then there is the intense attraction and the blinding spark between the two main characters. Also it doesn’t lacks action either.
In my opinion the choice of topic is a really daring one on part of the author but she executed it tastefully and marvelously.
I absolutely adored this book and I can only recommend it to everyone. This is the first book in a series and I hope the rest is just as good as this. This one was a really heartwarming read.

Saving Ella is a great book that makes you realize that some women have much different lives than others. That no matter what has happened to them, they wont let the man who ruined them win.

Ella is someone who had struggled with drugs, alcohol, sex, and self harm to except the abuse her step-father gives her. Because of what her step-father has done to her, she wont allow him to win. Which by this, makes her a very strong character. Ella also struggles with self confidence throughout the book but no matter how she feels about herself she always put others before herself.

In the meantime while Ella is trying to make money to help her run to the next state, Jax is trying to help her see that is is more then just a scared women. I just love Jax's character in this book. It shows that the author wanted the hero to be an actually man. By that I mean, he is arrogant, helpful, loving, caring, knows how he feels right then and there. He's not what some would call a "pussy".

Jax and Ella forms a relationship between each other and their love grows to something no one expected. But no matter what happens they make it work. When Jax makes a mistake, he owns it and talks to Ella. Jax knows what Ella's triggers are and he is very careful not to set them off because all he wants to do is to protect her and care for her.

This is a wonderful book and do suggest you read it. It's a very moving book and makes you realize things about another world you wouldn't really think about.

Love this book

This book was so good. I loved Jax and ella together. Jax was always so sweet and understanding to everyone he meets. Ella had a rough go at life after her dad died. I feel so much sadness for Ella's situation. I am looking forwards to the other books in this series.
