I was entirely unprepared for this book. I read it with my kid, but had to regularly "live edit" it as we went along since it was massively inappropriate for this day and age. It's easily one of the most racist and sexist books I've read, and was far more "on screen violent" than I expected.

It's a piece of work that was groundbreaking at the time, and if you want to see what informed so many other stories, it's a good read. As a story by itself, I think its entirely skippable.

This book is a perfect example of Twain's thoughts on classics "a book that people praise, but don't read".

The Minalima illustrations were beautiful and enchanted my child as we read. As an edition to choose, this one was terrific.

This took longer than I wanted it to take, but finally, after adoring this story since I was little, falling in love with the characters in the Disney adaptation, I finally got around to reading it. Though some aspects are very outdated in today’s generation, J.M. Barrie has captured so thoroughly and beautifully what is it to be a child, and amplified all of that in Peter Pan. The language and imagery is stunning, and captivatingly childish. Pan is capricious, fickle and difficult, but although you may not like him, you have no choice but to love him.

I never got around to this when I was younger so I thought I ought to. It took me by surprise at times but was a very pleasant, easy read in comparison to the last books I got through.

The gender differences are very interesting in this book, and it’s a fun story even for adults!

This book is amazing. J.M. Barrie's Potrayal of a boy who refuses to grow-up will capture your heart forever.

Despite his name on the book, Peter Pan isn't just our main protag as this started with Wendy and ends with Wendy
