Woah. That was a very dark and twisted ride through the life of Indiana Hendrix, but I flipping loved every single moment.

The story starts in a horrendous manner for poor Indiana and things just keep escalating from there. Highly recommend to read, just be cautious of any TW first.

I personally cannot wait for book 2 because that cliffhanger at the end was not fair!!

Incredibly consuming

I am thoroughly stupefied after the ending of Tarnished. Really surprised how this book didn’t make more noise among the book community. It is brilliantly written and executed with different timelines and different thought processed in various ages. Indiana’s confused emotions about her reactions is described so raw that I actually felt for her and shed a few tears. The authors made most of the guys (the love interests) both alluring at times and down right bothersome at other times but no matter what you still want to read more about them, learn more about their feelings. I mean I actually feel most enthralled by one of the meaner one, Jameson. Jagger has also stole my heart despite his profession for god’s sake. Okay, I am rambling now. Just wanted to shout out that this is an extraordinary book and deserves the highest praise❤️

Wow. First off read the triggers know your triggers you been warned. This is the debut story for Indie Black & Sienna Cousins. India childhood has not been easy. I had time I was crying when reading this book. This is a reverse harem and a bully romance. Wow this girl is strong. To go through what she is and to keep putting one foot in front of the other is amazing. This book is part of a trilogy and left off on a cliffhanger. I can't wait for book two.

Tarnished is book one of the Tainted by Ruin Trilogy series. Tarnished is reverse harem. There is a lot of triggers in the book. Indiana had one of worst childhood. Then when she gets in foster care she goes through 5 years of hell. When she thinks she found a good foster it comes with twins that treat her like trash.

In Tarnished we will learn who Indiana guys are. Some of guys do get along but most of them do not. But then at the end of the book has me left with so many questions.

Tarnished has some strong characters. Indie Black & Sienna Cousins has done wonderful job with storyline. They give us Indiana tragic past and the ptsd she now suffers because of it. Now with the way this book end I can’t wait for book 2 to release.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐SPOILERS AHEAD⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was such a good book.... But I spent most of it on the edge of tears.

Our FMC Indiana begins her tale at just 12yrs old and already breaks your heart with keeping a horrible, sordid secret from her loving parents. Under threats from her twisted brother Brett she keeps quiet.

But then at school she gets brave and decides to text her mum to tell her she has something important to tell her.... But she never replies. Getting home she sees why... Her parents were killed in a car crash by a hit and run.... But the gleam in brothers eye tells a different story....
He gets guardianship of Indiana but disappears so she stays at her best friends Maddox house but it's not permanent. This starts her 5yrs of Foster hell.

We rejoin Indiana in her 17th year living back in the same town with new Foster parents and going to a posh school. We learn of her past Foster family. The life she had to live. The way she deals now. She doesn't let her guard down easily and her fight, flight or freeze action tends to be fight on verbal fights and freezes whenever anyone touches her...

Iits a shock when Maddox strolls thru the school doors and straight for her. At last you think something good happens for Indiana, she deserves it. But nothing is so straight forward. She's constantly having to be on guard. Her Foster brother, Presleyis a leach. Her foster sister, Tinsley is a bitch and her boyfriend, Jameson is just as much of a leach as Presley.

She's already struggling with school, which means she has to have a tutor every day to help her catch up. Weston is another complication that later accidentally contributes to possibly one of the worst of Indianas days.....

Then there's jagger..... Not sure why or who he is yet! Seems to be a drug dealer but Hmmm....

The ending cliffhanger is brutal... I don't know who anonymous is but he has to be better than who we last saw Indiana with surely...!!??

This was well written and the topics were touched on delicately and with true to life actions, feelings, reasons etc. I think that alone is what kept the tears so close, because the way it was written was so right. Some was hard to read but didn't detract from the story.

Poor Indiana. If there was ever a character that needed a happy ending, it's this one! Keep fingers crossed!!

Woah.

Omg. This book. I don't know what to say. My mind needs longer to process. This book hooked me in right away. Some of the parts in this book were so hard to read, I felt so bad for poor Indiana. Her life has not been good after the accident. I can't wait to dive into book 2.
