What a sweet little gem of a book. This was my first Meg Mitchell Moore but I think I need to make time to read more.

This was a quick and engaging read! Even though we didn't spend a lot of time focusing on it, I liked the relationship between the husband and the wife and felt like it was very realistic. Obviously for me, the relationship between the mom and daughter is particularly poignant. I appreciated how this was placed within the time following the pandemic. We all went through that and it's a pivotal moment in our lives, so I appreciate books that nod to it and at least refer back to some of the things that happened during the pandemic. Or how things have changed since then. The hook of Summer theater on an island is absolutely in my wheelhouse, so this book was really interesting to me. It definitely makes me want to be in more theater productions and to go see more local theater! I actually really appreciate the way this book ended. I know that it does not necessarily realistic for us to get a button on everybody's storyline, but for this book it was exactly the right thing to do. I felt like I learned from the daughter's TikTok collab house experience, not that they can always be awful but at least what it is like. That's something that I know about but don't know details of.
