Oh my god I am so glad I decided to keep going with this series even though I found the first book disappointing. This was so good. More historical drag in book right now immediately please. More characters should be as flamboyantly gay as Noah, it's so good. I love Noah and David's dynamic, and while the 'plot' was a bit meh, it served it's purpose for the development of their relationship.

David and Noah have been best friends since boarding school, but how long have they been in love with each other? I love a friends to lovers relationship and the taboo nature of their lives during this times period put an interesting spin on the romance.

A bit repetitive at parts
Spoiler(I'm going to the estate, I'm not, I am, I'm not after all), and not quite the happy ending in the final chapter,
but overall a nice love story about childhood friends.

I absolutely loved this book. This was a second in the series but it read perfectly fine as a standalone. I loved both of the MC's so much. They were so sweet and tender and I couldnt get enough!!! I have never read a Jess Everlee book before but now I cannot wait to read more!!

*Read this back in July but forgot to update on here!
