Really loving this series and am diving straight onto the next one :)

Even though Scout is fairly deep in depression due to what happened in the last book she still maintains her humor throughout. I've never once wanted to slap her in the face like so many other YA Heroines.

The way the whole "thing" played out was very well done and I really didn't see a lot of the twists and turns coming though I suspected something was up.

Hard to really say anything without spoiling but the only thing I didn't like was Scout not either bothering to ask questions she should be asking or not asking the right questions. I thought that part could have been done better.

I love all the little pop culture references they are really making this series extra special and making me connect with the author and her story even more cause I feel like she is on the same page as me :)

This book was so much better than the first one that I liked it simply for that fact. There was an interesting exploration of guilt, resentment and forgiveness. Still, Scout is just your typical selfish teenager, yet everyone around her worships her and is willing to die for her. Can't get over that.

If you have not read Destiny Binds, do not read further! If you have you are good to continue reading. :D

I usually find that when I start a series the books beyond the first tend to be either a let down or not as good. This was not the case with the Time Mends. It is just as good as Destiny Binds and is a great continuation to the story Tammy Blackwell created for us.

It is just over a month since the accident that caused Alex's death and Scout is left unwilling to believe he is dead. Not only does she see his gray eyes watching her constantly and smell him in the woods, she spends time with him every night while she sleeps. Then the next full moon comes and she is jolted awake when Alex tells her to go to the woods and not be scared. A whirlwind of events leads her to the Alpha Pack where her fate will be decided for her.

This book provided me with a variety of emotions. I was happy, excited, angry, sad, and above all else, surprised. Scout finds her true self and begins to accept Alex's death and forgives those who played a part in his fate. Alex is the escape she needs in her dreamworld and helps her along her journey to her destiny. Charlie is very reserved and has a hard time being near Scout. Jase mends the broken relationship with his sister until he is forced into a position he wishes wasn't the only option until he finds his chance to get out and he bolts. Talley is once again her all-knowing self and finds she can project onto others.

The ending is a perfect lead into the third and final book, Fate Succumbs. I never wanted to put this book down. It was such a riveting story line that I took all the opportunities I had to read. If you enjoyed Destiny Binds, Time Mends should be at the top of your to-read list.

Exciting read with interesting twists of plot, great characters and a major cliffhanger. I'm shocked about Jase - I hope, that he had a good reason for his behaviour in the end of the book. I suspected about Liam - he was too interesting as a character to be done with, so I hope we'll see a lot of him in the third installment. Angel was perfect, as usual, and Charlie, of course, was incredible!!!
One of the best books about shifters - highly recommended!!!

I enjoyed this book more than the first one. Although saying that i still thinks its more of a 2.5 than a 3 but i wanted reflect that it was more to my taste than the first - whether that actually has anything to do with the plot or the fact i have an uncanny ability to get overly attached to fictional characters and thus have fallen in love with Scout. The plot was possibly a bit on the messy side, the 'plot twist' was still unexplained as such but the book runs straight into the third so answers may yet come. Still, i enjoy Scout wit and sark and the angst was handle well and didnt get to annoying. The toned down romance was much more enjoyable to read and the plot did focus much more on the supernatural lore. It was a good read but for me the lore whilst interesting is a bit weak compared to others and the romantic nature is still prominent.

After the shocking and devastating end to Destiny Binds, I really wasn't sure what's going to happen with this book. Am I going to like it, after having my heart broken and gutted out with at ending of first? But then, I couldn't not read it, you know? I mean, I had to know what happens next!

“Tony Stark over Bruce Wayne, but Batman trumps Iron Man.”
--First paragraph of Time Mends
As it was, I found TIME MENDS to be a wonderful continuation to the first in the series. I was genuinely impressed with how much I enjoyed the characters, the plot and the writing style.

I kept being surprised at how Blackwell created something profoundly different from nowadays YA books out there. I can't really explain how it was that different, only that that's the way I felt. Good different, which is something remarkable in my opinion.

TIME MENDS centers mostly around Scout coming to terms with
Alex's death
. Which works wonderfully well, as, you know, I was dealing with his death as well. She's grieving, in a completely human way which made her seem as blood and flesh as you and me. And on top of all her worries, she has to suffer from great pains over her own injury, which makes her lock herself in her room, shut herself from the world and alienate almost everyone who were once close to her - not that I blame her one bit for it.

And that injury? Lets just say it leads to a change. A capital C kind of Change. And with that Change all hell breaks loose. Now she has to deal with her loved one's death, being different, trying to save her best friend, and a pack of the mightiest Weres out there wanting her dead. Yeah, great year for Scout.

The characters all develop wonderfully due to the event that took place of the end of Destiny Binds. They learn to forgive, but not forget. To look pass the blurriness of their pain and anger and see everything through clear eyes. To make what happened be a lesson for the future, instead of letting it hold them locked in the past. They all grew so much as people that it was amazing to behold.

Jase and Scout's relationship is strained, to say the least, and the both of them learn the true strength of their bond throughout the course of the book. I loved seeing how much they mean for one another, and how much their relationship can take. I loved their sibling relationship from book one, and I loved it in book two as well. I envy the love and devotion these two share, and the unbreakable bond. It took them time to overcome the hardships, but when they did it was for good.

Charlie and Scout deal with similar issues, and Charlie becoming all... different... after what happened doesn't help. His connection to the The Death definitely makes things difficult, especially as you consider Scout's past(?) feeling for the guy.  But these two, too, prove their bond is stronger than most.

As for Talley and Scout, they learn more about one another. One of the main points in this book involves saving Talley from the object-like treatment and "trade" she's been subjected to, which lets us learn more about her world and see these two's relationship.

As for romance... despite the lovely quote, said by our darling Alex, there isn't much romance, in this book. And I appreciated Blackwell, and this series, so much more for it, considering what Scout deals with.
She doesn't just jump into the next relationship.
True, we have Charlie. And really, you'll be rooting for him, because Blackwell is that amazing. She makes you think no matter who Scout ends with, you'll approve.
But the romance between these two, or rather "moments", are short, fleeting, and are definitely not the center of the book. Which I, for one, loved.
It made me, again, respect and love these characters even more (yeah, I know - who would've thought that's possible, right?!)

The ending of the book was exciting. A lot of things happen, some of them shocking, some of them I've been waiting for the whole book (such as Scout's wolf's identity. I knew who it was from, like, the first time he was mentioned--I mean, how many white wolves are around, anyway? But I've been looking forward to Scout finding out), some of them just made me want to bit on my nails off.

It definitely made me want to read the next, and sadly last, book in the series. Which, of course, I have already. Look forward to that review!

Bottom line, though, if you haven't yet read the first book in the series, and the second in the series (and the third) you really ought to. This is a MUST READ.

If you are looking for a predictable book, this one is not for you. Tammy threw me for so many loops during this book! Is Alex dead, is he not really dead? I still am not sure. I can't wait to see where she takes us in the third book.

Time mends was even better than Destiny Binds, once I saw that it was published I had to vae it in my kindle, and well I just devoured the whole book in a couple of hours. It was that good!

I just love Scout! She's the best with all her sarcasm, she's just all the fun in the book!

Ohhh Alex, how I missed him, and I just felt like Scout, believing that he's still there with her.

The second book starts just where the first one left, and we see how Scout is recovering from the accident, while Jase and Charlie are trying to apologize with her...it was so hard to read Charlie suffering from what he did, that it just made him even more swoon worthy!

What I like the most about this shifter story is that it's different grom everything I've read, it just captivated me, with the fun and drama altogether.

Miss Tammy sure knows how to write, and I've become a fan of her incredible writing...and now all I have to do is wait for the next book...and I can honestly say that I can't wait to see how this amazon story will end.
