Black Flags, Blue Waters: The Epic History of America's Most Notorious Pirates by Eric Jay Dolin
ramsfan1963's review against another edition
For a book about Pirates, it's pretty dull. Lots of people places and dates, but nothing to catch the imagination of the listener. Also, the narrator added nothing to the audiobook, his style was dry and monotonous.

I very rarely dnf books but after powering through to around the 40% mark, I finally threw in the towel. There were some interesting chapters here and there but it's written in such a dry and factual manner that it became a real slog to get through, and I have too many books on my wtr list to force myself to continue any longer. 😂

Just didn't find it captivating, maybe it was the writing style. I think I was hoping for a more narrative feel.
