The Poison Pen was a nice close to the Puddledown Mysteries. Hugo and Tommy had some lovely moments at Tommy's cabin, with lots of tea. I also really enjoyed Hugo telling Daniel off (more than once) and his moment with Mavis. There was also quite a sad moment with Walter's father which I felt was very well done.

I discovered this series by accident via Twitter when [a:Charlie Adhara|17270560|Charlie Adhara|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1517957206p2/17270560.jpg] tweeted about cozy mysteries and someone replied recommending Puddledown.

Ah, Hugo and Tommy! I do like this tale of post WW2 Britain. It is not that long ago and somethings were so different.
The outside loos, pumping water, rations, general lack of daily things we take for granted.
The mystery of the poison letter writer is nicely layered.
Tommy's family are initially cool but apart from the odd Daniel, they warm up to Hugo.
It is a quintessential cosy mystery and I love hat the writing style just brings old English villages to mind.
