Forced marriage.
She falls first but he falls harder.
He GROVELSSSSSS for about 65% of the book.
I had despised this book at first but i think it was my own annoyance with myself.
Theresa makes him bed and crawl and grovel as she should for how badly he treated her not even knowing the truth.
She didnt even know what she was being treated so badly for which was even sadder. The poor girl was just in love.
But i didnt eat this up like i do the usual forced marriage books. Probably because she didnt just take him back after the first confession lol.

As many have said before, there are some spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors. It clearly wasn't proofread properly. Beyond that, the author didn't completely fact check on certain things which may be found to be irritating to those who have gone through similar situations or are more in the know.

But the storyline itself? Decent. Entertaining for the most part. A good book to read on an airplane or in an afternoon. Definitely a one day read.

Angst. The amount of angst in this book is killing me, and I love it. Call me a weirdo, but I love good angst. I like it when I feel the pain in my heart. It is hurt. I saw this book on booktok and I decided to read it when I found out it is an angst book. I live for angst!
So, the thing that I like about this book is that a woman finally figures out that she no longer tolerates the bullshit. And that was Theresa’s final straw. She found out that she was just a selling product. She thought that her husband (by arranged marriage) loved her, but no. Her father literally sold her to Sandro with a promise to bear his heir so he gets back the vineyard. I thought this was Harlequin or Mill & Boon at first. So I am very satisfied when she really put the wall between them when suddenly Sandro became interested in her as he found out that Theresa married him because she loved him and have nothing to do with the contract.
Yeah, give this man hell, Theresa.
But the problem show up when she was pregnant. She thought she finally had a chance to divorce him and give him a son. Yeah, Sandro begging her to stay with him. I understand how Theresa feels. You have been treated like garbage and suddenly, you became his queen. Such a loser, Sandro. I like it when Sandro exhausted Theresa emotionally and made her distance herself. I love it when Theresa keeps making him feel guilty and torturing him emotionally. I love it when Theresa literally made him beg to ask her to stay with him. That man needs to feel hurt so bad. Theresa called out his hypocrisy by getting back at him for what he had done to her.
However, I minus one star because of how easy Sandro was forgiven at the end of it. I wish he was tortured longer. Or, they finally got divorced. And how she forgives her father. Nope. If I was Theresa, I will be no contact with that old man. I wish it was longer so the ending is more justified. But I love the angst. So, it is forgiven. I read this twice in row because it hurt so bad.

Beautifully broken.

I was pleasantly surprised by how deeply I connected with this story and the characters. A perfect representation of the ways we, as humans, cause harm to others even with inaction. While also showing that redemption and forgiveness are possible.

This one came from Reddit.

Ok, so I did read this one to the end. Honestly, by the end, I was skimming it.

I feel like, in theory, it works. But in execution, I’m struggling.

Sandro and Theresa are married. It’s a business transaction between him and her father, but she somehow doesn’t know? And he doesn’t know she doesn’t know?

Her father is terrible to her. Sandro is terrible to her, until she asks for a divorce. Then he decides he wants her.

He’s an irredeemable asshole. She’s not nearly as angry as she should be. There’s allegations of him cheating, which he vehemently denies but, frankly, there’s more than one way to cheat and if he’s knowingly putting himself in situations where it appears he’s cheating? Trash.

It’s angst AF but I got pissed off with it.
