An absolutely enjoyable book that toes the line between comedy, drama, and racing text book.

The narration from the point of view of the main characters canine best friend was amazing.

I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in performance driving wether that's road racing, autocross, drag racing, etc.

Oh Enzo, you sweetheart!
This book is a touching exploration of what it is to be human, through a dog's eyes.

Lmao I just….listen, ok? Although this was narrated by a dog, it was so clearly written by a man.
Besides the b-grade emotional manipulation and uncalled for plot twist, I kept going back to the fact that the dog described the female characters’ body types. Like why???
The racing metaphors were fine, interesting even. The on going child custody drama was levelled throughout the story. I even liked Denny’s side character friends!
But man oh man…that dog was written by a man.
